Open the file you were sent — CSV, spreadsheet, PDF, or text. Point Review at Pro Tools or DaVinci Resolve and click Write, or export a file for Avid Media Composer and import it. Every note is now a marker, in order, ready to jump to.

Four import formats
Reads CSV exports from Frame.io, Dropbox Replay, Vimeo, and similar review platforms (auto-detecting the timecode and comment columns even when their names or timecode style differ — including seconds-only timecodes with no frame component, as Vimeo uses); Pro Tools' own Session Info Text export; multi-tab .ods spreadsheets (auto-picking the sheet named "QC"); and PDF tables (when the PDF has real table gridlines, as most spreadsheet-to-PDF exports do).
Writes directly into Pro Tools
Uses Avid's official Pro Tools Scripting (PTSL) interface. Choose the main Markers ruler, any of Markers 2–5, or a custom-named track — no import dialogs, no intermediate files.
Writes directly into DaVinci Resolve
Uses Resolve's own scripting API (Resolve Studio) to write markers, in the color of your choice, onto the currently active timeline.
Exports for Avid Media Composer
Media Composer has no live scripting API, so Review exports a marker XML file — the same format Frame.io produces for its own "Export to Avid" feature — and reveals it in Finder with the path already copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into Media Composer's Import Markers dialog.
Frame-rate and offset aware
Supports 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 (drop/non-drop), 50 and 60 fps. Automatically detects the frame rate from a Pro Tools text import and corrects it if it doesn't match your selection. A manual offset field handles sessions where content starts at 01:00:00:00 instead of zero.
Built-in translation
Translates every note before writing it — 12 languages, your choice of OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, DeepL, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a fully offline engine with no API key and no internet connection required.
Live connection status
A Connect button confirms Review can see Pro Tools or DaVinci Resolve — and that a session/project is actually open — before anything is written. Nothing is written until you click Write.
Clear, per-marker logging
A running console reports exactly what happened with every row: which columns were detected, what frame rate and offset were applied, which rows were skipped and why, and a final count of markers written.

Built on Avid's official Pro Tools scripting API
Review uses PTSL (Pro Tools Scripting Library), Avid's own official interface for automating Pro Tools — a real, official Avid API, though Avid has not issued any formal certification of the app itself.

Code-signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple's notary service, so macOS Gatekeeper opens it with no security warnings.
DaVinci Resolve support requires Resolve Studio — the free edition blocks all external scripting, so Review cannot connect to it.
Avid Media Composer has no official live scripting API, and its marker window isn't exposed to macOS's accessibility system — so no app, including Review, can trigger the final import step for you. Review builds the correctly-formatted marker file and gets it in front of you (Finder + clipboard) as fast as possible; the import click itself is yours.
Common questions
No. Review only reads the file you select — it never writes to or modifies your CSV, spreadsheet, PDF, or session file directly. It writes new markers into Pro Tools/Resolve through their own official scripting interfaces (or a fresh export file for Avid Media Composer), the same way you'd create them by hand.
