How It Works
One controller, no MIDI routing headaches.
AtmosPan bridges your DualSense controller straight to Pro Tools' Atmos panner. A small companion app reads the controller and talks to the AtmosPan plugin directly — no manual MIDI setup for panning, no extra hardware.
Controller Mapping
Every input has a job.
The DualSense's full surface is mapped — sticks for spatial position, buttons for transport control.
What It Does
Built for the Atmos mix, not adapted for it.
Full DualSense mapping
Every stick and button is mapped — pan, height, size, and full transport control, all from one controller.
Native Pro Tools automation
Pan moves write directly into the Pro Tools timeline as real automation — touch or latch, just like any other parameter.
7.1.4 & 9.1.6 bed support
Built for real immersive mix formats, not a stereo-to-surround approximation.
No dedicated control surface
Skip the cost and desk space of a hardware Atmos panner — use a controller you may already own.
Built on official APIs
Uses Avid's AAX SDK and the HUI protocol for transport — no scripting hacks, no unsupported automation paths.
Apple Silicon native
Built natively for Apple Silicon Macs, running alongside Pro Tools 2026.
Trust & Compatibility
Built the right way.
Built on Avid's AAX SDK
AtmosPan is a native AAX plugin, built with JUCE 8 against Avid's official AAX SDK — the same plugin format used by professional Pro Tools mixing plugins.
Requires Pro Tools 2026.4+
AtmosPan's transport bridge uses the HUI protocol, supported by Pro Tools 2026.4 and newer.
Works with a DualSense controller connected via USB or Bluetooth. macOS on Apple Silicon only, at this time.
